Skin history
M4A1-S | VariCamo appeared in CS:GO on November 27, 2013. It’s included in The Dust 2 Collection, containing 16 themed weapon finishes from the eponymous legendary map. This collection was introduced to the shooter in the massive “Out with the old, in with the new” update.
Pattern features
The carbine shows a camo pattern suitable for desert terrain: the gun's surface is covered with gray-beige paint, over which are applied brown, green, and light beige spots.
Effect of the pattern index
The pattern index determines how the spots are positioned on the weapon’s surface, influencing the appearance of the resulting camo pattern.
Effect of float
Float Value of the item can vary between 0.00 and 0.60, allowing it to be obtainable in any exterior quality category. As the gun’s condition deteriorates, its paint darkens and gradually erases. In the “Battle-Scarred” condition, the rifle looks noticeably darker and loses some of its paint. However, the pattern remains relatively distinguishable.
Rarity and popularity
M4A1-S | VariCamo is categorized as the “Mil-Spec Grade” rarity and is available in a souvenir version. The skin is not popular among CS2 players.
