Skin history
AUG | Akihabara Accept appeared in CS:GO on May 26, 2015. The skin belongs to The Rising Sun Collection containing 16 weapon finishes themed after the Japanese culture. This collection was introduced to the shooter along with Operation Bloodhound.
Pattern features
The name of the skin comes from the district of Akihabara in the Chiyoda ward of Tokyo. This district is a major shopping area for video games, anime, manga, electronics, etc. Also, Akihabara is a special place and a gathering site for otaku. The buttstock and pistol grip of the gun are colored white with individual blue (almost purple) elements, while the magazine is almost entirely blue. There are many writings in Japanese (and a few in English). The buttstock features an image of a young pink-haired female soldier, showing the V-sign.
Effect of float
Float Value of the item can vary between 0.00 and 1.00, allowing the skin to be obtainable in any exterior quality category. As the float value increases, the weapon gradually loses its paint. In the “Battle-Scarred” condition, most of the paint is erased from the rifle's surface, but the image of the girl remains discernible.
Rarity and popularity
AUG | Akihabara Accept belongs to the “Covert” rarity grade and is unavailable in either souvenir or StatTrak versions. The skin is popular among CS2 players.
