5 takeaways from BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown

It was an awesome week that consisted of many, really hours of high-level CS. Nothing is better than a good Counter-Strike, so we are totally happy with BLAST Premier: Fall 2020 Showdown.

And here are a few takeaways from the event.

mousesports are back in action

Finally! Finally, we see mousesports in incredible conditions.

2020 was a rough year for mouz. It started well for the European roster, but with the beginning of COVID-pandemic mousesports have started to experience issues. They were in the slump for more than half of the year.

Alongside it, mousesports’ former coach, Rejin, was banned by ESIC and departed the team a couple of months ago.

But now… It looks like the arrival of MithR has already brought the first results.

In the first round, mouz eliminated GODSENT, who could take only 14 rounds in bo3 vs mouz.

The second match was way more difficult for karrigan’s team, but mousesports have managed to outlast Heroic in an incredible 3-maps triller.

And the final match versus Cloud9 brought the squad of Germany organization spot in BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2020.

C9 started both maps with a decent streak of rounds, but couldn’t contest mouz during the whole map.

FURIA’s super-Inferno

The Brazilians managed to earn the second spot in Fall Finals. FURIA have played three 3-maps bo3 matches, so it was a bit more complicated success than for mouz.

What’s worth mentioning is the fact that FURIA crushed Virtus.pro and Team Liquid on Inferno.
Isurus could have been an easy one also, but FURIA let them make a comeback from the 15:7 score and Inferno ended with 16:14 in the favor of the Brazilians.

Cloud9 improving really fast

It took less than two months for the new roster of Cloud9 to start competing at the highest level. Not that much to say here.

Just as a fact, the lineup was assembled not that long ago. Yeah, Cloud9 have failed their first appearances in the early November.

And now, just look. They have defeated Ninjas in Pyjamas with a 2:0 score, then they made an insane comeback in the game versus Complexity.

That’s true, Cloud9 haven’t shown something noticeable against mousesports, but mouz are on fire now and C9 surely had not enough time to decently prepare for the match.

Let’s see how it goes, but imagine if Cloud9 will keep improving.

Endpoint are about to jump to the next level

Endpoint have shown a good run in the last 6-7 months in general. They had their up and downs, but now they are just much better than they were in April or May.

They play truly decently and make real fights versus tough opponents, but for now, it seems that they are a bit stuck.
Whenever Endpoint will find a missing piece, they will be a stable tier-2 team.

Team Liquid missed the real battle

Well, Liquid have weaned from the real competition. Several months with regional online events made its deal. Liquid have forgotten how to fight with many different teams, but still! They have shown a nice performance in general.

They have Dreamhack Masters Winter left in 2020 in Europe, and it’s really important event for them.
Liquid want their confidence and conditions back, and this European Tour is that what they need.
