Over the last ten years, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive witnessed hundreds of different skins for every taste and colour. Some of them are masterpieces of design; others are less artistic yet straightforward. Today, CS.MONEY Blog will list and rate the worst CS:GO skins. These are the ones you wouldn’t want to get even if they were free CS:GO skins because they are useless in Trade Up Contracts and cost very little. Moreover, these skins won’t look good in Counter-Strike 2 either.

MP9 Slide: weird and cheap skin
This weapon finish has little to look at. Rusty and dirty colours, simple stripes… the only thing worth noting is the white rarity. What’s even more interesting, or even surprising, is that Slide wasn’t among the first ever CS:GO skins: MP9 Slide was added to the game through the 2018 Inferno Collection. We could’ve forgiven such a clumsy and lazy design if it was released among old CS:GO cases and skins, but considering all things… no indulgences. And also, it costs around $0.10, which is a lot!
Nova Sand Dune: iconic meme skin
We couldn’t get around this legendary line and chose the Nova shotgun since it’s definitely an out-of-meta gun. This skin is simply too lazy. Nova Sand Dune‘s monolithic painting can appeal to fans of minimalism, but otherwise, this skin is just dull. And it won’t combo with any stickers. This skin is available at the lowest possible price everywhere: both on Steam Marketplace and at CS.MONEY. And it’s also not the skin you would use in a Trade Up contract!
AWP Acheron: possibly the worst AWP skin?
Valve spoiled us by unintentionally creating a rule that AWPs should look stylish and decent. Players look at various skins for this sniper rifle and, most of the time, see beauties. Unfortunately, we can’t say that about AWP Acheron, especially its lower floats. Surely, the idea of the drawing is promising: the skulls and signs of radiation carry a straightforward meaning. The problem is that this bad AWP skin is spoiled by red spots all over its body, and its background looks too pale to highlight everything else. Poor quality gets even worse with low float AWP, so if you like it, try buying Factory New or Minimal Wear for around 15 dollars.
USP-S Forest Leaves: cheap USP skin that looks sad
You can forgive this cheap USP-S skin because it was one of the first skins ever in CS:GO. Valve hasn’t yet started experimenting with bright colours, and every skin looked much more modest. USP-S Forest Leaves’ jungle camouflage is as straightforward as it is banal. This weapon finish has nothing to offer, and moreover, it costs around $0.30, which is a lot!
Negev Army Sheen: differs little from the default skin
Of all the skins in the Army Sheen series, the concept is probably worst implemented on Negev. Overall, the pattern is hardly noticeable, and most of the weapon isn’t painted at all, so you need at least a good Minimal Wear float to be able to distinguish the skin. As a result, all you have is an unpleasant feeling of emptiness because you almost can’t see the difference between this skin and the default vanilla Negev skin. Add the weapon’s popularity to that. So, should we call Negev Army Sheen the worst CS:GO skin of all? Or maybe, at least one of the most rarely used CS:GO skins. It’s even hard to buy one since only few people sell it on markets!
FAMAS Colony: a very dull CS:GO skin
FAMAS, the French automatic rifle, looks different from all other assault rifles in CS:GO, and it seems that people can come up with something more interesting than just applying a calm pattern. FAMAS Colony is a vague khaki skin with various dirt spots. It reminds a combat weapon, sure, but that’s it, there’s nothing even to follow on the skin. Surely, it costs around $0.03 cents.
Navaja Knife Rust Coat: WHY?
Let’s talk about one of the popular knives in CS:GO, the Navaja Knife. People buy this CS:GO knife because it has a relatively low price and looks fine. At the same time, the very idea of a rusty blade, which couldn’t look better than a Well Worn float, distinguishes this knife skin from others, but that’s not pretty at all. Perhaps such a cheap knife skin in csgo could be tied to a story like, “this knife passed down from generation to generation, as in the real Spanish fighters’ families”. But does it justify the skin’s look? By the way, we have compiled a list of all knives in CS:GO in a separate article, and it has information and fun cats about each knife in CS:GO, and also their prices!
How to get the worst skins in CS:GO
All the weapon finishes on the list of worst CS:GO skins we provided, except for the Navaja Knife Rust Coat, are included in the free drop list. This means you can get these skins free just by playing CS:GO. Moreover, there are other ways to get free skins even if you don’t like how they look: we prepared a special guide on how to get free CS:GO skins here.
And you can get the Navaja Knife Rust Coat by opening two types of Prisma Cases. But surely, you have to be very lucky. If not, well, this skin is always available on our website!
